I'm research about displacement based seismic design.

I have a question about distribution base shear for wall building with various legnths.

I don't understand why this distribution is in propotion with square of length (lw^2)?

Follow my opinion, it's based on stiffness so that it's propotion to cube of length (lw^3)

Please explian to me.
